It's all true, they're not lying! We spend almost all day outdoors, and when we are inside we're looking something up, or experimenting, or reading. I say our house is a library with beds; I think I counted seven-hundred books in the living room alone!

What we need to do, and all we need to do, is bring as much of the world as we can into [their lives]; give children as much help and guidance as they ask for; listen respectfully when they feel like talking; and then get out of the way.
